As we look to improve the overall Spotify experience, we removed our app from Roku TV systems on December 22nd, 2017. We hope to have a better version of Spotify on these devices in future.
I finally gave up on Roku, mainly because of not supporting Spotify but also because of constantly having whatever app I am using freeze and then getting dropped to the 'Bouncing Roku' screen while it resets itself (every ten minutes of so).
- Share my registration data with Spotify's content providers for marketing purposes.
- Step 3 In the channel store of Roku, if you find the Spotify app, you can select the ‘Spotify’ app with the help of your Roku remote. On clicking ‘Spotify’ you need to choose ‘Add channel’ option to install the Spotify app successfully.
- I've started using Spotify in my PS4 instead. It's too bad because the Roku is our primary device and is love to use Spotify on it but the experience is terrible. At least give us suggestions as we search. God forbid you have to type in a long name because you'll have to finish the whole damned thing before it finds a match.
Roku Spotify Connect
Mac miller tiny desk spotify. Yes, the Roku channel is gone. For the pursuit of providing better experience, Spotify removed its app from Roku TV systems last December. No any indication, no timescale about how long users have to wait to its back, just a short notice listed above, which brings Spotify users with a terrible mood. If you search for the Spotify relevant forums with phrase like 'Spotify on Roku', you'll probably find that most people complain of this decision, and wait for the new version:
-- It's crazy that a company can remove their paying customer's ability to use their service…
-- You couldn't keep the crappy experience while you were working on a better experience..
-- I hope they improve upon it drastically, it was a terribly limited.
